So the hubby and I are big thrift store shoppers. Really I love anything old and used and cheap (not cheap, but cheap.. totally makes sense, right?). So every week we take an afternoon together for a “date day” which includes combining his love of plundering and my love of discounts and this week we had some great finds!

My all time favorite is this clock old fan that doesn’t work combo. It’s weird, I know. But I couldn’t take my eyes off of it and with a huge $3 price tag on it I really felt like I was robbing myself if I didn’t buy it. It HAD to come home with me and I HAVE to find a place just for  it. So on our way home I decided we were going to completely redo the living room in a rustic/industrial style. In all reality this $3 fan will probably ending up costing us a lot more than that after it’s all said and done, but still…

AND to make it even cooler, I decided to try to find it online. And I did. For $79! Which makes me EVEN MORE excited!

Next up is one my husband spotted for me and I fell in LOVE, an old refinished metal rolling stand. My kitchen is “vintagy” with red, teal and white. It’s really my all time favorite color scheme but hard to pull off, so I went with it in my kitchen to brighten up the small space and make it my “Happy place” so to speak. Really.. anything to make washing dishes and walking through a kitchen so tiny you can’t walk through when the fridge door is open (no lie) a better place haha.

With such a small kitchen we lack in storage space so I always have to have a shelf on the side to hold hodgepodge items like my massive mixer (those suckers take up a LOT of counter space!) and random gadgets i probably won’t use but don’t want to throw away. The new rolling stand took the place of my old ugly metal one and i’m ecstatic. It makes me happy just looking in that dreary corner now.

I know it doesn’t look like much but to me it makes a world of difference haha

That’s it for this week’s finds, I’m super stoked about the clock more than anything and can’t wait to find a home for it and of course have a new reason to redecorate our living room. So look for updates on that in the near future! 😉
